Interior Painting in Tipton

Interior painting and decorating in Tipton, Great Bridge, Princes End and Ocker Hill. Dust sheets down, fixed price agreed before we start, home left spotless.

The 1930s semis off Dudley Port and the canal-side terraces around Great Bridge have deep skirtings, picture rails and walls with a lot of history in them. That is worth painting properly rather than quickly — the preparation is most of the labour and all of the finish.

What's involved

Interior Painting in Tipton, done properly

Preparation done properly

Filling, sanding, caulking and priming before a top coat goes anywhere near the wall.

Fixed price, agreed first

Priced by the room and written down before we lift a brush, so you know the cost on day one.

Dust sheets and clean edges

Floors covered, sockets off, lines cut in by hand. The room comes back ready to use.

Trade paint, not the cheap tin

Contract emulsion covers in two coats and stays put. Small part of the cost, most of the difference.

Interior Painting — your questions

How long does a room take?

An average Tipton bedroom is a day, walls and ceiling, including preparation. A through-lounge in one of the Great Bridge terraces is usually two. If the walls need real filling we say so before we start.

Do you move the furniture?

Yes. We move what we can to the middle and sheet it, and we put it all back. You do not need to empty the room before we arrive.

What about picture rails and deep skirtings?

The 1930s semis around Tipton are full of them and they are worth doing properly — cut in by hand, not masked and rushed. It adds time and it is what makes the room look finished.
